GRP / FRP Water Tanks in the Philippines
Sectional fiberglass panel water tanks for potable water, fire reserve and rainwater — supplied and installed by Goldenbolay in Metro Manila, Bulacan and across the Philippines. 10-year warranty with 3 years of preventive maintenance.
Sectional Fiberglass Tanks, Built to Fit Your Site
A GRP (glass-reinforced plastic) water tank — also called an FRP or fiberglass panel tank — is assembled from standard pressed panels that are bolted and sealed together on site. Because the panels are light and compact, they can be carried up stairs or service lifts and built into a tank of almost any length, width and height.
GRP does not rust or corrode, keeps its strength for many years, and is lighter than steel or concrete — which is why it is a popular choice for rooftop water tanks on condominiums, offices, schools, hospitals, malls and factories in the Philippines.
Goldenbolay supplies Korean-made GRP panels that have passed seismic testing, and our team handles the full job: sizing, shop drawing, delivery, installation, leak test and turnover.

GRP Tank Sizes & Capacities
Capacity (liters) = length × width × height (m) × 1,000. Common examples:
Actual usable volume is slightly less than the gross volume because of the freeboard (air space at the top). Need a different size? Modular panels let us build to your exact dimensions.
| Tank size (L × W × H) | Volume | Capacity |
|---|---|---|
| 2 m × 2 m × 2 m | 8 m³ | 8,000 L |
| 3 m × 2 m × 2 m | 12 m³ | 12,000 L |
| 4 m × 3 m × 2 m | 24 m³ | 24,000 L |
| 4 m × 4 m × 3 m | 48 m³ | 48,000 L |
| 5 m × 4 m × 3 m | 60 m³ | 60,000 L |
| 6 m × 4 m × 3 m | 72 m³ | 72,000 L |
| 6 m × 5 m × 4 m | 120 m³ | 120,000 L |
| 8 m × 6 m × 4 m | 192 m³ | 192,000 L |
| 10 m × 8 m × 4 m | 320 m³ | 320,000 L |

GRP vs Stainless Steel vs Concrete Tanks
| GRP / FRP | SS304 Stainless | Concrete | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rust / corrosion | Does not rust | Highly resistant | Can crack and leak over time |
| Weight on roof | Light | Light to medium | Very heavy |
| Installation | Bolted on site, no crane | Bolted on site, no crane | Formwork and curing on site |
| Best for | Rooftops, fire reserve, rainwater, potable water | Potable water in condos, hospitals, malls | Large underground cisterns |
| Budget | Economical | Higher | Varies, slow to build |
| Expand / repair | Replace single panels | Replace single panels | Difficult |
Not sure which material fits? See our SS304 tanks or ask our engineer — we'll recommend the right panel for your water use.

GRP / FRP Water Tank Questions
What is a GRP water tank?
A GRP (glass-reinforced plastic) water tank — also called an FRP or fiberglass tank — is built from pressed fiberglass panels that are bolted and sealed together on site. Because it is modular, the tank can be made in almost any size and assembled in places a one-piece tank cannot reach, such as rooftops and basements.
Is GRP the same as FRP?
Yes. GRP (glass-reinforced plastic) and FRP (fiber-reinforced plastic) are two names for the same fiberglass panel material. In the Philippines both names are used for sectional fiberglass water tanks.
Can a GRP tank be used for drinking water?
Yes. GRP panel tanks are widely used for potable (drinking) water, as well as fire-water reserve, rainwater harvesting and process water. Tell us the intended use so we can specify the right panels, sealant and accessories.
How much does a GRP water tank cost in the Philippines?
The price depends mainly on the tank size and capacity, panel height, frame and base requirements, accessories (ladders, manholes, level indicators), and site conditions such as rooftop access. Send us your drawing and required capacity for an accurate quotation. If you already have a quotation from another supplier, send it to us — we will match it or give a lower offer for the same specifications.
How long does a GRP tank last?
A properly installed and maintained GRP tank lasts for many years because fiberglass does not rust. Goldenbolay GRP tanks come with a 10-year warranty and 3 years of preventive maintenance (yearly checking, cleaning and maintenance).
Can you replace an old concrete or steel tank with GRP?
Yes. We remove or bypass the old tank and install a new modular GRP tank in the same area. The panels are carried in by stairs or service lifts, so most rooftop replacements need no crane.
What size GRP tank do I need?
Capacity in liters = length × width × height (in meters) × 1,000. For example, a 4 m × 3 m × 2 m tank holds about 24,000 liters. Our engineer will size the tank based on your water demand, available area and building requirements.
